Abstract

. In the investigation on the effect of clay nano-composite on the structure and properties of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs), the mechanical properties of TPUs had maximum values with 8 wt % clay content. The wide angle X-ray diffraction patterns showed that the glycerol propoxylate had better compatibility with the organoclay than poly(propylene glycol).
