Abstract

Studies on theevaluation ofdifferent diets forpostJarvae(PL)of Macrobrachium rosenbergli indicated higher mortality
when fed on pelleted feed than on live Artemia nauplii, zooplankton or combination feeds. Statistically significant
differences wererecorded inthelength andweightofpostlarvae (at5% level)fedzooplankton,Anemia nauplii and com-
bination feeds whencompared topelleted feed.It suggests thepreferenceoflivefeedover artifical feedby thepostlarvae.
Results further indicate thatzooplankton promoted growthofpostlarvae equal tothegrowth incrementbyArtemia nauplii
either asindividual or combination feed.
